Rebecca Lancaster, PA-C

Rebecca has more than 18 years of combined experience in family practice, internal medicine, and ophthalmology in the Goldsboro area! Because of this, Rebecca brings a unique perspective and wealth of knowledge to Waynesborough Ophthalmology.

Rebecca enjoys helping her patients understand how the eyes are an extension of the body, and how systemic disease can often affect or even manifest itself in ocular signs and symptoms.

She has a special interest in comprehensive exams, diabetes, dry eyes, glaucoma, and auto-immune diseases, just to name a few.

Rebecca grew up in the NC mountains in Asheville. She obtained her BS in Biology from High Point University on a presidential scholarship, where she was also a University Ambassador, the Philanthropy Coordinator of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, a member of the Alpha Chi National Honors Society, and was on the Dance Team.

During undergrad, she also worked nights and weekends as a nursing assistant to gain clinical experience. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from High Point University in 2001 and went directly into the Wake Forest Physician Assistant program.

Rebecca obtained her Physician Assistant degree with Honors in 2003 from Wake Forest University and has been practicing here in Eastern NC ever since. Rebecca lives in Pikeville with her husband, two daughters, and her rescue animals. In her spare time, she enjoys working with the youth at her church and camping with her family.
